What's stopping people from watching the anime classics? How come there are way more people watching maid dragon or Eromanga sensei than Ashita no Joe or Getter robo?
Do people care more about memes and being part of the in-group than finding quality shows?
The maximum available quality usually being 240p is a barrier to entry for most people.

>Do people care more about memes and being part of the in-group You answered it, it's all about LE SOCIAL MEDIA now
Jason Sullivan
>Do people care more about memes and being part of the in-group than finding quality shows? Well, yeah. For most people, media consumption is a social activity.
Joshua Bennett
Getter Robo is not a quality show.
Connor Evans
It's decent but Gurren Lagann is just better honestly
Michael Hill
Because on Any Forums, these are required viewing BEFORE even posting on this board. People only discuss new stuff because everyone accepts you to have watched the old classics.
Levi Kelly
>being part of the in-group This. Most people don't feel motivated to watch something they can't find anyone to discuss of on social media. I think it's a very shallow attitude but that's how a lot of people do.
Joshua Rivera
why aren't there ANY mecha anime with good fights?
David Foster
Armageddon, the entry OP posted? Hell no, it's fucking shit. Isn't that exactly what OP is doing......? No self-awareness, the lot of ya
Tyler Reed
I am talking about the anime public at large, of course evryone on Any Forums knows who Kanada is, has watched birth alongside Tomino's and Yuji Kuri's entire body of work. Any Forums's the exception, not the rule the top 0.01% of elites who really care about the meduim.
Aaron Cook
If you're going to be a pseud at least try to spell most of your names right.
Isaac Diaz
>How come there are way more people watching maid dragon or Eromanga sensei than Ashita no Joe or Getter robo? Don't understand what's surprising about that. People are going to be familiar with the most recent pieces of work in any medium than they are with the older ones. Bar few exceptions, of course.
Anthony Ross
Classic anime doesn't exist. There's no canon. No set in stone essential anime. Something being old doesn't inherently make it a classic because it still has to be great, influential and stand the test of time which most old anime do not. Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion are popular memeshit anime that zoomers love so clearly people do watch old stuff.
Evan Jenkins
The simple definition of it being a classic.
A classic is something that everyone wants to know about, but nobody wants to take the time to experience.
Jaxson James
ok OP i'll go watch ashita no joe >79 episodes shieeettt i'm in for a long one
Jose Perez
It sucks don't watch it. Pseuds pretend to like it because it's old and long
Julian Butler
Why are old anime fans so insecure? This thread is posted every single day
Hudson Clark
What's stopping you from making good, or at least different threads?
Ayden Young
Watch more old anime zooms
John Butler
Already do. Most of it is shit, just like new anime. Answer the fucking question faggot.
Leo Hughes
>Do people care more about memes and being part of the in-group than finding quality shows? yes
Colton Garcia
>Do people care more about memes and being part of the in-group than finding quality shows? what are ghiblifags, lotghfags, bebopfags, evafags, gundamfags, rumikofags, etc. the list goes on and on
Eli Reyes
>memes and being part of the in-group Well put. A lot of people are weak minded retards suffering through absolute shit like wanpiss because of social pressure.
