Eden of the East

Why did this get so much praise? It was a boring slog

that never ever ever did, the series was good but people wanted more and that never ends well

context?

cinematic timing

One of the most unrealistic things was Saki not running off screaming rape when Akira approached her but instead walking right up to a fully naked guy and dressing him.

amnesia

is it good?

C I N E M A T I C
T I M I N G

because apparently you are surrounding yourself with reddit or so, it didn't get "so much praise" here and rarely gets posted about.

the first 10 minutes are good, then it gets really boring really fast

is this the start of a rape scene?

don't remember it's been like 15 years

Discussing anime older than 5 years is a waste of time. You're just ridiculing yourself, OP.

WHO THE FUCK WAS JOHNNY?

The first few episodes got everyone hyped, but soon apart the show fell apart into an incoherent mess. They just had no idea how to resolve all the plot threads

Ah, 2011 Any Forums...

Concept was cool, but they dragged the series/production too long, tried to cater to neets, and didn't finish it before phones could literally do what made the story interesting:
>socially positive deathgame +1bazillion dollars + special phone
Problem is 2022 phones with their apps and amex concierge is largely that already. If you had a gazillion dollars you can probably do even better IRL.

The plot would require minimal changes for 2022:
>Mysterious benefactor calling himself Satoshi Nakamoto gives people special phones with built in hardware wallets that can access dormant until that point early Bitcoin accounts with billions of dollars worth of coins
>Can these people change the world before their reckless spending causes a crypto market crash and makes their fortune worthless?

Why can't they write female characters properly? Saki would have ran for her life screaming

Yeah, that's how I felt about it. Very cool start, didn't go anywhere. It's like Lost, very JJ Abrams style production.
