A lot of cyberpunk/transhumanist material portrays the sort of world satanists want to make. Like
2000 AD Police
GitS
Appleseed

Stand Alone Complex S1 for example is about an illness spreading over the world which is treated with micromachines the companies and governments know aren't effective. They suppress this information to profit while treating elites with an alternative remedy they told the public doesn't work.
S2 is about (spoilers)The Director of a government bureacracy manipulating events and the news to direct social trends to create a crisis so he may further his own burear's power, eliminate rivals, and change whether Japan sides with the US or China. (/spoilers)

Anyone remember or know what anime it was where a dude talks about the Rockefellers controlling Japan but the Japanese government goes along with pretending it's a sovereign country to save face because the alternative is complete destruction? It had 80s-looking animation, yellow subtitles, the guy was in an office-room with light coming through the window.

The latest GitS series, The Human Algorithym, reveals the author's been getting into more qabbala and other mystical stuff. His older works like SAC: Second Gig have the Tachikomas reading books on marxist political theory and Section 9 Chief's brother describing society in terms of Structure and Superstructure and a need to merge them. It's a weird mix because the 11's initial act is most similar to Yukio Mushima's so is it
a) a superficial styling with no ideological implications intended
b) a support of Yukio's nationalism and restoration of Japanese sovereignty and military
c) a rejection of b, as the antagonist goes his own way
d) a synthesis of b with marxist elements trying to create something new.

It's clear the author's influenced by Marxist political theory in what he has the characters read and talk about but I'm not sure how far his agreement with them goes vs how novel a solution the characters are intended to present.

Angel Cop?

> To combat rising attacks by communist terrorists, Japan has created a special security force authorized to use lethal force. Angel, the newest member of the force, fights to take down the terrorist group, Red May. Accidentally uncovering ties between Red May and the government, she and the rest of the Special Security Force are targeted for execution by 3 “hunters”, enhanced psychics, working for the government.

Sounds like a likely candidate.

how do you get spoiler tags both right and wrong in the same post?

GITS:SAC wasn't written by the same guy as who writes Human Algorithm. The guy who wrote Human Algorithm wrote Arise however.

Akira predicted the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Why do so many zoomers believe politics didn't exist until 2016?
