ITT: Shows that nobody actually watches, but pretend to for Any Forums cred
Thomas Hill
Cooper Johnson
I sometimes demonstrate my deep knowledge of the manga medium in 3x3 threads to give myself the reputation I need to shitpost anonymously in other threads.
Ayden Murphy
Nobody "watches" this right now, people have seen this on tv when they were kids unless they are born after 2000 or something.
Noah Clark
>Any Forums cred
Imagine caring for such a standard.
Brandon Gomez
I've watched and read ROV.
Dylan Kelly
I watched it at least 3 times kid. But I still haven't read the manga.
I read "Oniisama e..." though
Landon Robinson
RoV is my favourite anime AND favourite manga of all time. Bite me.
How much of a pleb do you have to be in order to be filtered by something as accessible and timeless as RoV?
Carson Lee
Oniisama e is worth watching the adaptation of aswell as it develops on the manga more.
I love Claudine by this author.
Kayden Perry
>Any Forums cred
You do realize this is an anonymous board, don't you?
Asher Howard
>Riyoko Ikeda gets 2 GOAT-tier anime adaptations
>no one ever attempted to adapt her work again (excluding the cancelled 2009 RoV movie)
It’s not fair. Even worse was when Ikeda herself explained that the reason her other works didn’t get adapted was because modern anime studios think her artstyle is too complex.
Landon Rivera
of all the anime you could have chosen, you chose RoV? It's honestly one of the best anime you could watch from before the 90's. There's a reason everyone jerks it off so much, because it deserves the praise
Jonathan Nguyen
I watched Oniisama e for "Any Forums cred" and it was a terrible mistake. Way worse than RoV, which I actually enjoyed because it's good.
Nathan Rivera
I have no idea why Oniisama e filters people. It’s the same kind of drama as RoV, but in a different time period and setting.
Cameron Young
Honestly I like Candy's show more.
John Kelly
Time period and setting matter a lot. People's issues just come off as petty and unimportant in Oniisama e, while in RoV they can often become very relevant to the overarching narrative of the time period. Also Oscar is just a way better MC than whatever the doll girl MC is in Oniisama e.
Luke Price
They’re teenagers. Their issues are a big deal to them because they’re a cornerstone of their growth as people— That’s the point of the whole show.
Aiden Lewis
>nobody actually watches
You're either American or too young to post here.
Caleb Gutierrez
Yes...exactly.
Luke Price
I put it off until just a couple years ago because it gave off that air, but it turns out it was pretty good. I liked Oniisama e more, though. Now that show was a wild ride.
Austin White
Is it worth watching it, Any Forums?
Jaxon Lopez
Xavier Parker
It’s literally one of the best anime ever made. It aged like wine in absolutely every aspect. Probably one of the few anime that will genuinely be talked about for centuries (it’s already been talked about for more than half a century at this point).
Basically, watching it is mandatory for any one who cares about anime.
