I only found out recently there are specific words to refer to yuri fans i.e. himejoshi and himedanshi for men and women respectively. Why aren't they as widespread as fujoshi and fudanshi?

Another reason might be that there's rarely a reason to differentiate male and female yurifags, unlike fujoshis and fudanshis.
