Could be interpreted as rape but it wasn't necessary. Being a survivor that lost trusted comrades repeatedly and that had to survive war through any means can break most people. Beyond wanting to be fucked, Reccoa had major trust issues. She always wanted someone to rely on but always felt like she ended up being used for someone else's purposes while she also spend her time manipulating people for her own ends (the irony). She was a bundle of nonsense. And got to die a pointless death for her troubles.

Meanwhile Emma got to live and die like a Badass.

see like that's moderately interesting for her character, its such a shame they fucked the execution of it which results in her being one of my least favorite characters period

Yeah. What I meant is that it can be interpreted as rape but is ultimately irrelevant. The point is that she spend most of her youth being used one way or another (sexually or otherwise) and that she has put on a strong facade for so long that she desperately want to be treated like a dainty lady. She was actually aware that Sirocco was using her but she became addicted to his gentlemanly attention that she didn't care since she couldn't find that anywhere else during the war. Reccoa was a lost woman that only knew how to survive but never attached to any greater purpose making her life empty.

I think it's in our best interest. she was a good character though. she probably had the most development besides kamille. char didnt seem to care about her for too long but there had to be other men on the argama who were able to treat her how she wanted. or was she more attracted to status at that point?

To be blunt she wanted a strong man to take care of her. She was tired of being "le strong independent wymin". So yeah, she was mainly in the pursue of a man with power that demonstrated to be an alpha Chad that would treat her like a woman and strip her from the need of taking care of herself. Char seemed to fill the bill but he had no interest in taking her and even if he were he still had tremendous mommy issues which is pretty much the exact opposite of what Reccoa wanted.
