Its honestly weird how the anime introduced Ayame to flesh Koga out, but then the 'sequel' created by the people involved with the anime series seemed completely disinterested in exploring them especially when they're involved in Moroha's back story.
Of course hard to complain when Miroku, Sango, and their kids have barely any screen time, and even Moroha herself is clearly playing second fiddle to her cousins.
