Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai

>Had ignorant preconceived notions based on reaction images
>assumed it was just a yandere harem shitfest
>end up binging 2006-kai
I really do want to apologize, I did not expect to like this as much as I did. It was like watching Haruhi Suzamiya all over again (in terms of story progression)

I love Oishi so fucking much. I will definitely look into the VN and Umineko now.

shame, you could have read the vn.

this
>read vn
>realize the only higurashi anime project worth your time was kira

Are scenarios completely different? My friend said there's more details and backstory for characters like Shion and Miyo.
If you think I can't appreciate ryukishi's art, don't worry. I think it's charming. And I don't mine going through familiar events again, that's the point of the series is it not?

*mind

Not only that but the VN has much more deeper and thrilling atmosphere. The mystery is executed way better. The characters have way more depth. The only downside of the VN I could think of is the heavy amount of slice of scenes that drag the pacing.

Bad bait.

Wouldn't that be an upgrade at my point then? I'm not above giving a VN a try, I just got curious and sank time into this because of the notoriety of events.
Plus, the anime already tried to interconnect events from different scenarios, I could put it that way too. I don't think my experience thus far would keep me from liking it.

Although I heard the Umineko anime is fucking shit.

Akasaka punching the van will never not be funny. Also those agents being defeated by a bunch of kids was retarded, but still it warmed by heart to see it end.

Takano deserved to be raped and impaled though, can't believe the bitch got away with a slap in the wrist.

I personally think the story is better when experienced a second time, as knowledge of what's really happenening, while detracting from the mystery aspect, adds a lot to the powerful character moments and overall element of tragedy. I read the VN after watching DEEN myself and it was one of the most fulfilling experiences I've ever had with a piece of media. I absolutely loved Ooishi's part in Tsumi.

A guy on Twitter is doing his own fanart spriteset for the VN, thoughts?

They should puff their chests out more.

Mion is too stacked

>A guy on Twitter
Why are you talking about yourself in third person mister shillmeister

user, the twins have always been about this stacked. If anything, Rena's being particularly emphasized. As of Gou and Sotsu/Gou and Meguri, Satoko basically joins the club among the twins in size. For a lack of a better immediate-grab image, Mei is a good example of it, and if need be I can hunt down things prior to 2020-era.

Off topic, does anyone know where to find the most up to date and complete collection of Mei images?

I like them a lot actually.

Ciconia is troon propaganda.

Holy shit you're right, the only one left is Rika. Even fucking Hanyuu is as big as the Sonozakis.
