I have more time to watch anime than i have anime I want to watch, so 1x.
I feel like watching on a different speed would remove so much from the experience that you might manage to watch 50 or 100% more anime, but you would enjoy it all 25% as much.

same for me. also that gif is fascinating. maybe i should try something like that and i'd actually be able to finish books. i have no trouble with LNs or manga but reading proper books is hard for me because i'm dumb

I installed an extension like picrel and used it for a bit until I realized 99% of long form web articles are absolute repetitive shite, the content is always in the comments, and that I should just use it on novels instead

I didn't have much problem reading this gif outside of when I had to blink. I've tried not subvocalizing but I feel like I don't understand as much when I do that. Haven't felt like taking to time to really train that skill.

I watch 25(+) anime a season. 1x only, unless the show is such unbearable dogshit that I fall asleep and want to kill myself while watching it. I put it on 2x then, but it's a rare occasion.

Neat gif although I'm not sure the whole suppressing the inner voice thing works. I just sort of layer the voice while it's sounding off another word if things go too fast.

i used to have that mentality when watching currently airing shows. it was finishing this show that no one but me remembers that convinced me to stop doing this.

There's always completely terrible shows airing every season. It's important to watch them too though, to get a more grounded understanding of what anime actually is. Taking the good with the bad so you don't get fucktarded impressions of what "should" be like some shounenshit tourist
