Nene isn’t really my type although she’s a fun character whereas Priss is EXACTLY my type (plus, she also sings amazing songs), and while Noa is cute and I really like her, Kanuka has a maturity and coolness factor that Noa lacks. Episodes and scenes of Patlabor where Kanuka is a focus are among my favourites— I actually feel that Patlabor 2 was worse off for having no Kanuka.

Nanami’s saving graces are the fact that she’s hot, the fact that her crazy hijinks are hilarious, and the fact that she’s cute when she shows occasional glimpses of goodness. I’ll take Utena over her any day, because she’s actually a nice person and most of her faults can be chalked up to being an inexperienced teen who means well.
