Previous: Shinpei's plan was to get Ryuunosuke into Shide's armor and take control of it just long enough for him to hold it in place so Shinpei could shoot. Ryuunosuke, being able to read through Shide's moves, was successful at getting in close and trasferring in but without Ryuunosuke, a shadow, supporting him all of the pain that had been suppressed came back on Shinpei in full force as his body quite literally started to fall apart, slowly beginning to disintegrate as humans were not able to survive in Tokoyo. To make matters worse, because Nagumo had tried the same trick on the previous loop, Shide was able to deal with it by cutting off a piece of mud and expelling Ryuunosuke.
But Ushio finished printing the shells and transferred her consciousness into them while Shide ranted about wanting to destroy the world because he realized that he himself was on his last life and would die for real with Masahito Karikiri. It still started to seem hopeless and like Shinpei would die before reaching the gun but one last act from Haine helped to will the gun just close enough for Shinpei to grab it, dodge Shide's attack and fire. The armor was destroyed while the connection between Hiruko and Shide was severed, leaving him stuck forever inside the mummified, eyeless and immobile corpse of his original body.
