They also just don't have the same presence as the OG girls, iroha and yachiyo lack personality and come off like a watered down version of madoka and homura
What it does have over pmmm is really quality visuals, especially with the witches/rumors, which was enough to make it enjoyable for me

Neither. It's not as good as the original Madoka Magica, but it's still a pretty good show in its own right. It just seems worse than it actually is because people keep comparing it to the extremely high bar that the original set.
It's like an 8.5 being compared to a 9.5 or 10
