People were angry that Tanjiro became a demon only for it to be cured the next chapter. So many interesting things could've been done with that but the author cut the manga shorter than it should've been.

Oh, yeah. I remember people speculating whether Tanjirou would survive or not, only for that discourse to be replaced by people debating whether there will be another part of Demonjirou will become human in the next chapter. Also everyone was underwhelmed by 100 years timeskip.
