Previous Haine seemed nervous upon meeting Shinpei and Ryuunosuke but Ushio insisted that they were Hizuru's friends. Having already gotten up to speed on everything that's happened while being part of Ushio, Haine was apologetic over it all but Ryuunosuke insisted that it wasn't her fault but Shide's as the mastermind of everything. Haine explained that they were in Tokoyo, a world above the normal one where time stands still. Shinpei realized this meant that he couldn't loop here while Haine further explained that by possessing the now awakened eye, a person could have control of time and space in the mortal world.
Ushio revealed that when she'd scanned Shide as she was dying, his goal seemed to be reducing the world to nothingness. At that moment B-52 bombers appeared overhead engaging in an air raid, a memory of Hiruko's that Shide forced her to manifest in order to get Shinpei and Ushio. But also being a memory of Haine's, she was able to suppress it just long enough for Ushio to use the bombs as platforms to get into the air to complete their goal: kill Shide, erase Hiruko and bring everything to an end.
