Why is he so beloved? He was there just for a few chapters and did nothing special

What killed the hype?
boring arc
He's basically fire Kamina. Of course he's loved.
Both idiot losers that lost?
People just love anikis man
UMAI
>Cool design
>A bit autistic (important)
>Cool powers
>Indomitable will up until the very end
Genuinely good guys full of drive that inspire others to be the best version of themselves.
Coolest guy
cool
I don't get it really either, he's hardly in the movie yet normies cry and say his death is so sad and he's their favorite character
its funny seeing all the merch for dead niggas like Rengoku and Sabito. He's a big deal in the anime but in the manga it's just a shrug of your shoulders unless you really care about the dynamics of House Rengoku and how Kyojuro's death reunited their family
Emotional manipulation and good animated fight
>cool design
He keeps reminding me of Ken Master for some reason.
>He's basically fire Kamina.
except Kamina was around from the start of his series while Rengoku died as soon as he was introduced.
set your heart ablaze
I agree, he had a few ok moments and that was it. One of the weakest character arcs in the series unfortunately
I don't even like KnY that much and I still loved him. He's just a cool character, what's so hard to understand? Even if you yourself didn't like him that much your monkey brain should still be able to see how many people might like him.
The character was kinda cool and his death is an important point for the story:
>introduces the themes of the manga about the beuty of being fragile humans and the sacrifice that people have to pay in order to succeed in their ideals
>is a model of inspiration for Tanjiro and also someone he feels guilty about not being able to help due being too weak at time
>sells to the viewers/readers what kind of monsters the upper moons are unlike the lower moons who where basically jobbers up until that moment (and unironically the upper moons ended up being one of the most competent and threatening evil team, since they actually managed to permanently hurt the good guys).
>his fight with Akaza was cool, and also set the basis for the also cool 2vs1 in IF
>he lost the fight but won in his ideals, since managed to save everyone and fought until the very end instead of jobbing like a pathetic looser.
>And did nothing special
He's basically Kamina.
