Previous: Having found himself in Hiruko's home, Shinpei wandered around looking for Ushio, coming across the edge of time and noting how time seemed stagnant. He noticed that this place seemed to be based off of Hitogashima. Throughout all this, Ryuunosuke took control of Shinpei's body as just being in this realm was causing his body to break down and Ryuunosuke could lessen the pain. The two talked and Ryuunosuke pretty much pleaded with Shinpei to not be so formal with him and treat him like more of an equal which Shinpei, eventually, agreed to.
Seeing a handball that Shinpei recognized as Haine's from Nagumo's memory, he and Ryuunosuke followed it as at rolled through a familiar (though mirrored) looking town populated by shadows who seemed to pay them no mind. It eventually stopped where Ushio was who seemed to be in a bad and pained state. Remembering his sister's words, Ryuunosuke was ready to kill Ushio as it seemed like she might have had her personality overwrriten by Haine's, but Shinpei stopped him. Ushio, calmed down, explained that the incident fourteen years ago caused a split between the innocent human girl Haine and the shadow Hiruko. Haine then manifested from out of Ushio's body in order to talk with them.
