The reason for still looking like Garou was so the kid knew who he was, Murata is clearly going for the kid and Garou to be together.
In ones version he simply gives up on life and becomes a wagie only to find out he can't escape retarded heros hunting him

Neither. Left is more faithful, but it doesn't work right since it's just a translation of ONE's scribbles. Right works better visually, but it's got that neon shit that ruins the creepiness of the original. A middle ground would be ideal.
