Why are hamburgers considered such a delicacy in Japan? They're an every day staple food in America so I don't really get it.

I am a native speaker, yes. Saying people are "having mouth sex" when they're just eating a burger and describing eating a burger as a "lavish experience" (what?) are all just subtly...off to a native. They're just eating with a high degree of animation.
