I don't get it. If the whole humanity is petrified, who's gonna produce more medusas?
Dr Stone
Because it doesn't make sense
The smart people who wake up first, like it says in the second panel.
But when those appears, the first thing it does is petrify them right away?
Whyman came from somewhere with much more advanced sentient life
Consider this: if Whyman is just a dumb parasite, imagine how intelligent the equivalent of humans are in its galaxy/solar system/whatever. We just aren't smart enough for Whyman's plan to work.
No, the first thing it does is drop a bunch of medusa and tell them how to use it.
All the very advanced technology they must have that can do it for them when they break out, just like their creators must have had.
time travel is the only thing that will save this series.
And when the guy who tops them all appears by generating strong em waves, all it does is do its best to petrify them all back again
What's the point
Speedreader-kun.... Thats why he kept asking "Why." The medusas were not able to comprehend why the humans "refused" to work after being granted the gift of immortality.
The Human SOVL shall defeat the soulless parasite named Medusa. I command it so.
this is dumber than AoT ending
Speedreader-kun...
I think you meant Luna's ass and Kohaku's thighs.
>granted the gift of immortality
On that note, isn't it somewhat useless in the shape it was given? When you're petrified, you only have your own mind to keep you company, so unless you consider yourself all the company you'll ever need, this immortality gift comes with some serious entertainment deficits. And if you have to come out of hibernations with your big brainwaves to do something entertaining or worthwhile, you're going to age again. Unless Whyman can provide some communication network while I'm in stone mode, the "immortality" as provided isn't quite the top tier prize it's advertised as. That being said, the healing properties alone are still a pretty damn nice carrot.
I stopped reading at around chapter 100 since this why man didn't seem that interesting. That and the sailor/captain boy really annoyed me.
Did things pick up? No idea what the medusas are.
So wtf is going to happen now? Do they just talk it out with the medusas? Do they become their diamond slaves in exchange for prolonged life and medical benefits? Do they start fighting each other somehow? I was expecting at least some kind of clash against a villain. Maybe some of the humans start working against the new common goals or something. Idk, whyman is so weird and underwhelming.
Everyone confused by the medusas plans are under the assumption that the medusas know what they're doing. No you stupid speedreaders, they don't know how humans work, that's why they're "whyman". They're just as confused and wondering why the plan isn't working.
The entire series is about science and the basis of science is experimentation and figuring things out though trial and error. The medusas are still trying to figure out how humans work.
well, it's a sciencey show.idk
This. The medusas didn't understand humanity's actions and humanity didn't understand them, assuming this was an attack by a hostile force. Even their takes on immortality are different; Humanity sees depetrification as a panacea, so most deaths can be restored from, allowing humans to live forever as old men on the verge of death. Meanwhile the medusas think that the petrified, inorganic form is true immortality, not understanding why humanity remains immobile and static while in that form, and seeks to return to their mortal, organic forms.
