I was really excited for the adaptation of 120-124 a year ago, even after the manga shit the bed I thought I'd care more about the second half of season 4.
Now everytime I think about watching it, I remember MAPPA are lazy dogshit and that Isayama (even with the unlikely AOE) can't deliver. Anyone who has watched so far is it still worth it to watch?

119 and the second half of 121 were actually pretty well adapted, they surprised me with some WIT level direction

122+rumbling start was... ok, it was a good adaptation, nothing more, 7/10 ; 120 and first half of 121 were lazy and off model, 123's flashback is moved to later; 124 was cool but dragged down by a lighting/colour problems

thanks. I'm sure I'll get a nostalgia rush one evening soon and watch with some friends. I KNEW they were gonna botch the rumbling ENTER but maybe 130/131 will still be good

So far from what we've seen the rumbling looks fine, certainly better than WIT's colossal titan kek, My main complaint is that there isn't enough titan design variety, sure they have slightly different faces but in the manga they really change a lot. I also hope some of the most iconic shots of 130/131/134 are handdrawn

As far as we know the last two episodes of this season will adapt 123's mikasa flashback, 130 and 131 (order is unsure, some say it's 123+130 and 131, other 123+a bit of 130 and then rest of 130+131, other say that 123 is split between the two episodes with eren asking out mikasa as one of the last scene of the season)

I actually really liked Mappa's work in Juju, so I don't hate them as a studio. But there are many times I think characters look so deliberately off model or wrong it is distracting. Titans are one thing but main characters suddenly looking round or chubby is even weirder
