It would be vewry wrong to call it a dark side. "Dark" Sakura (ill call her that for the sack of accuracy) is more a response to her own circumstances then it is her own desires. She was sole into slavary by a man, her own father. She was then raped byu Zoken and Shinji, her grandfather and father respectivelyt.
Every aspect of her bodily autonomy and freedom as a woman was destroyed by the men around her. in response she tried to pretend to become a domestic virginal pseudo-bride for shirou. This is classic internalized misogyny. "If i just give the men exactly what they want ill be happy." But she isnt. shes living a lie and its only when dark Sakura, her internalized shadow becoming externalized, that she is abvle to achieve freedom. She assimilated the trauma of her rapes and turned it into pleasure. hence her sex with Shirou was like that of a trained prostitute. She didnt passively enagafe in sex with Shinji. She became an active participant and by doing so stole his ability to rape her away. Saldy this only caused him to become more violent. which she then manifested as the murders of the shadow.
So the depiction of Sakura wasnt of "every" womans dark side. THats bullshit. It was a story of female liberation from a male ethos and powerstrucuture.

i dont play FGO but what little i have come across universally with later incarnations of Sakura is that they all soften, strip, or retcon the portions of her character that made her an incredible female role-model in HF. shes often reduced to objectifying fanservice which plays up the psudeo-domestic fasade she put on as opposed to her liberated self we see in dark sakura.
