Along with her original name being Laura we can reasonably assume she and Deathtopia are Western European. "Acerola" is a Portuguese word for a South American fruit. Google Ngram doesn't support Portuguese so the best we can do is see it enters the Spanish lexicon around 1596. It later enters the English lexicon around 1865. Deathtopia is a lot older than Kiss-shot so it's reasonable to assume she could have learned about acerolas from Portugal or Spain.
Monogatari likely takes place around 2010 based on the setting (both flip phones to smart phones are in use). Kiss-shot was turned around 25, so we can subtract 25 from her age as that's when the word "acerola" appeared. 2010 - 573 = 1437, so before the word "acerola" existed. 1596 + 573 = 2169, which is chronologically inconsistent with the setting.
