Anime just keeps getting worse and worse, lazier and lazier...

Anime just keeps getting worse and worse, lazier and lazier, less and less competent and yet it keeps getting more and more popular.
Modern anime is so bland, it has no personality, it's just garbage mass produced on an assembly line by sub-par artists who might as well work at deviant art.
Every single aspect of anime, from writing to colouring to animation and especially ditection, has gotten worse over the years, you know the situatuin is dire when early digital anime still looks better than all anime produced in the last 5 years.
This is all enabled by the influx of new fans who have no standards and just holler like apes at the latest flavor of the month hype fest, or the latest wish-fullfilment isekai.
By the time, the old veterans like Mitsuo Iso, Yuasa and Koike stop making anime, there will be nothing of value left to look forward to.

Enjoy lidenfilms and other 5 cent gook studios making terrible adaptations of your favorite manga, and netflix turning pieces of art like Blame into 3d cg.
Because the only things getting budget these days are Isekai and terrible nu-shonen, and even with all the budget and sakuga they can't replicate the goodness of something like Berserk 1997 simply because modern anime has no personality.

Watch more anime.
>Mitsuo Iso, Yuasa and Koike
>old veretans
Awful bait.

there is no berserk anime, schizo

Anime will turn into capeshit and you cant stop it

Yea because there's more and more of it being made, so resources are spread thin and most of what gets made will be shit. There'll still be great shows every once in a while and great creatives in the industry though, they won't go anywhere

>keeps getting more and more popular
Is this still true? It feels to me like growth has plateaued in the last year or two.

It's 2022, they ARE industry veterans. It's not the 90s anymore, buddy.

>flcl
Oh look another toonami baby who just watched his first old anime. Thread hidden.

>Life just keeps getting worse and worse
Ftfy

I really wish it would just slow down and let them focus on quality.

No, not really, I watch new films and listen to new music all the time. because of the relatively low barrier of entry and the high output, there will always be some artist somewhere in the world making good shit.
Animation is different, it requires way more manpower and multiple high level skills that require a lifetime to master, and anime is the animation output of one single country which makes it worse, animation has already died in the west because of the aforementioned issues, Japan might follow suit.

He might be a toonami baby but he's not wrong. And what arguments do you have?

that can't happen because there's no way for the island to otherwise exploit the insatiable appetite of the mainland, the americas, and europe for japanese cartoons.

Yea but production companies don't feel the same way

New films and music are way worse than new anime. You're just a retarded normalfag.

THEN FUCK OFF YOU FAGGOT! Instead of moaning "old good new baaaaaaad" talk about the old good anime if not why do you care if the new anime is shit, who cares?! Fuck off faggot

There has been quite a lot of good anime series and films lately. Unless you've watched them all, you have not made your post responsibly. Most likely, it's because you are just a consumer who want others to put “masterpieces” in his mouth without spending even a minute on finding something good.

There's still a wealth of great old anime that I bet you haven't watched. You'll always have something new to watch even if the actual new stuff isn't for you.

What this user says. The best anime of the last 20 years is airing right now for fuck sake.

The lockdowns got a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise watch it into anime since they had nothing else to do. Also demon slayer had the same effect.

>lazier and lazier
Wrong, they finally started putting effort instead of lazily panning and zooming while characters talk.

Yeah, the industry is in a crisis of sorts. It isn't its first, it won't be its last. Let's talk this over in 15 years or so.

Hit the door on your way out.
