Just started the LN about half an hour ago. The amount of detail seemingly left out in the anime feels staggering. Not usually a sourcematerialfag and have never read a LN before but I'm enjoying it so far.

Well yea you probably didn’t expect that because we didn’t complain that much in these threads while it was airing since the anime was so good.
But yes MT content wise is huge even with the great adaption it’s impossible to cover everything. Quite a lot and I mean a LOT of things were skipped which is why I always recommend people to start from vol 1 despite the excellent adaption.

I made sure to get the most recent revised version. There's no mention of it yet other than Lilias having some dirt on Paul to use if she needs it.

Thats always the problem with adaptations from books and novels. The director has to puzzle together a coherent story from the source material, where he has to leave out stuff due to time restrictions. MT anime so far has been a real treat and you could feel the respect the people had for the source material.
