I think Index is good. Especially the novels. And when I say Index I am including NT and GT. When I say I think Index is good, I do not mean I think it’s flawless, think every decision Kamachi made is the best, or feel parts of it don’t drag. It simply means that as a whole, I think its good.

The series could do better.

The first arc is the best adapted Index arc.

It starts out good. Then it becomes painfully obvious the author is just making shit up as he goes and has no plans to ever conclude the story in any satisfactory way, and his autistic, pseudo-scientific walls of text get really, really tiresome and the humor is not funny at all

Seriously stop now and watch the first two seasons railgun first. Everything after the index s1 is just rehashing the same narrative but with different characters. Accelerator's arc had horrendous pacing and is excruciating to follow but had at least something new to say, with touma it's just punch bad guy in european country alongside new girl to protect index, rinse and repeat for the rest of the series. The other deuteragonists are so fucking bad they're not just not worth mentioning, their presence makes index drop worthy.
