Nah... From similar VNs I liked Ren from DI way more. I related to his problems, worldview, and ideologies way more, especially at the beginning in the common route. He's not the best VN protagonist I've ever seen in my life, but think that he's still a really good character and I love how he represents the themes of the story. I definitely don't fully agree with a lot of the criticism towards his character from the western DI fans.
