I'm getting convinced that the production values of Aikatsu that brought the normalfags here, Pretty is an entertaining franchise with fun stories and characters, but the outward appearance doesn't have the same flies attracted to light effect of Aikatsu.
A similar thing happens in /pc/, if you throw great production values in a specific episode/season/etc then majority suddenly seems more satisfied regardless of the writing, it attracts more people and they're more willing to just enjoy, some people try to pretend that they want XYZ but the at the end of the day production values towers over other values and those other values else needs to try very hard just to compensate and catch up to production values.

The cg in the early episodes of Aikatsu deterred plenty of people who would have enjoyed the show. Pretty doesn't have good writing, music or animation.
