Why do all Lancers have E tier luck? There must be a deeper reason, inherent to the class. Or maybe they are just fucking retards? Fate/Zero and UBW made sense for honour, but Heaven's Feel Cuck was just asking for it

F/SN Lancer would be too overpowered otherwise. Same reason why Saber is kept gimped by the VN in practically all routes besides the latter half of UBW.

i dont know but its fucking bullshit. HF Lancer got the most love out of all iterations in terms of animation but it sucks the coolest class always eats shit and dies

UBW wasn't for honor, really. It was because Kirei didn't need him anymore and wanted to have some fun with him before that.

He was clearly superior to Assassin but kept chasing him slowly and walking himself into the most obvious trap, fully aware of it. Shouldn't had tryharded that much.

Cu, Diarmuid and Scat have low luck but i think that's it. Just don't use a Gae NP and you're fine

E rank luck doesn't really matter unless the plot said so.
That said there's no Lancer who has won a Holy Grail War.

While anyone can fit into the lancer class as long as they have a famous lance, the same cannot be said about the Assassin class.
In the case of Assassin, the class itself is the catalyst and will ensure that you will always get Hassan. It doesn't matter how great the mage, it will be Hassan, it doesn't matter what the catalyst is, it'll always be Hassan.
Hassan! Hassan!! Aaaaahh, how wonderful Hassan Sabbah is!

Among these Gil seems to be the strongest, but Solomon would flat out beat him.
Coincidentally Solomon also has A++ for Luck, so duh.

Well, FSN itself is a case where a different Assassin is summoned, so it's possible in theory, although through extremely unusual circumstances.

FGO Servant Summoning System is the cutting edge of cutting edges, far surpasses any Holy Grail War ritual before it.
It is so good that it can record pseudo-servants and the memories of servants in the Throne to be summoned into Chaldea.
There's a reason why the UN and MA instantly get triggered when they learn that Chaldea summons servants without their permission.

Saber had a fine Master in Zero yet she was just as shit as in Fate.
In fact the only thing she has going for her is her bullshit instinct without which she'd die against almost everyone, and the fact that her opponents can't properly deal with her sword being invisible.
