Kanojo Okarishimasu, lie reveal

It's actually amazing how utterly useless the leads in this series are. They had a year and a half in universe to prepare for this happening, but chose to do nothing. All the promises, all the big words all were pointless, 200+ chapters of "development" and we're dealing with the lie setup in chapter 1, the de facto climax of the manga, or at least climax of one of the main plot threads, the one the tittle is derived from, the same as if it was discovered right at the beginning.
I guess the mangaka can still turn this around, but it has been 3 chapters into the reveal and it's nothing, but characters repeatedly making stupid faces, zoom ins, zoom outs, and the main characters just stand there like idiots, while they're being ridiculed.
Any Forums had a field day with the cuck chapter, but this is objectively even worse.

I finally read the latest chapter, of "reaction faces". I'm shocked at myself... I liked it. Mami actually says all of the things I always thought and were my biggest irritation with the plot. Whatever Chizuru thought she was doing and why, the things Mami says ( irrelevant of her intent) are what Chizuru was actually doing to him. Regardless of his own role she should have stopped accepting it a long time ago, early in the manga.

She gave a quick dry summary of the entire series, before the main character was allowed to colorize the events to make it seem as something "romantic". She is quiet biased in her speech though, she makes it look as Kazuya is too dumb to realize he was Chizuru's victim and that she conned everyone.

Eh. I'm used to MCs acting stupid.
Just be happy that something's finally happening.
If you want to pass the time, I would recommend re-reading recent chapters or starting a new manga. Overall though, I'm pleased with the series as a whole. I can't stand everyone complaining all the time, though. Now that shit is annoying.

For sure she put the worse spin on it. Nevertheless at least she hit a lot of those sore points. No guarantee Reiji will deal with them well though.

He is too dumb to realize it. While he was busy dreaming about her being "the one and only" she was busy spending all her money "shopping" with Umi-kun.

This wasn't a romance, just some cunt with a cheating fetish drawing out his sick fantasies and frustrations with the world.

They're retarded yeah. It's not necessarily bad writing if you only had to read like 30 chapters or something to finally get to this, to show their flaws, the consequences of their actions, and all that. The problem is Reiji never really crossed the line to develop the story, and dragged the series on for 200+ chapters.

Do some anons actually believe this litterally is the story? The characters are both naive virginal autists unaware or willfully ignorant of how fucked up their relationship is. There is nothing more to it. No sucking Umi's dick, no deliberate manipulation.

I still can't get over the fact that mami's big plan was dropping her phone and fake crying. All of this could have been avoided if someone just kicked jer phone in the pool.

the point is it could've actually happened 30 chapters in and they would've been acting the same way, it's as if they never planned to stop the lie

She would just make it come out another way. Her plan is letting it come out and making it look as bad as possible. She did make it look pretty bad not that it was hard given how far MCs took it themselves.

Prediction.
No matter how brave or convincing Kazuya's defense is gonna be, as he is up to him right now. Chizuru is gonna run away, nevertheless, as she can't put a professional pretense, and she can't be honest.
At best, Mami will be outed as Kazuya's ex, but that only will give advantage to the hypocrite ribbon slut. The onyl good thing: Kibe and Kuri will be there for him despite of them knowing the truth. Kibe may be a dense son of a bitch, but at least he may connect the dots and realize Kazuya rented Chizuru because Mami dumped him, so, even if he will feel disappointed his friend wasn't the "national hero" he was, at least he'll know Kazuya had valid reasons to do what he has done. Sumi too, maybe, if Reiji puts her back in the main series due to Hitomishirimasu promotion. The mutie cutie was missing for more than a year, so he has to reintroduce her with a valid excuse.

I like this way of putting it.
I think it's clear to see that Mizuhara's not trying to hurt Kazu-chin, nor is it the case vice versa. They're both dumb and star-crossed and stuck in a lie that shouldn't have happened in the first place, but they both kept going out of concern for one another.
This isn't the type of relationship Mami could ever understand, because little does she know: her parents forced her other ex to break up with her. Though it is interesting how in both Kazuya and Mami's situations, parents/family play a key role. Though in Kazu's case, family is reinforcing the relationship with Chizuru, while in Mami's case, family broke off the relationship.
So yes, it's worth noting that Mami truly does not grasp the entirety of Kazu/Chizu's situation, though admittedly some of this is to blame on Chizu for hiding her feelings. I think if anything, Chizu's avoidance of the issue is what is causing more and more problems. But if you really want to blame someone, perhaps you could blame Nagomi, Mom, and Dad for jumping the gun too early on such young adults who were just figuring out life for themselves on their second rental date...

She could just drop her phone multiple times until it works.
Also worth mentioning "What if the phone fell face-down?" She could literally just keep trying. The more she did it, the more convincing it might even be, too.

Thirty chapters in would be a mercy for them. If Reiji does not spin it and actually digs in to how shitty they both are and makes them deal with I might even consider him redeemed (to an extent at least).

Everyone bags on the author for dragging things out for so long, but it's rare to see people compliment how cleanly it was all executed. IIRC, there are no plot holes, and every major turn is hinted at in previous chapters. Additionally, the whole hotel arc is very grandiose and there's a lot of attention to detail. And last but not lesst, somehow this fucker's been updating weekly consistently for as long as I remember. I never understood the hate.

Its amazing how alike Kazuya and Chizuru are. They're a good fit.

Of course Reiji could salvage it by Chizuru finally stepping up to deal with it. Mofo has been ruining her more and more to stall and milk the manga.

>Nagomi, Mom, and Dad for jumping the gun too early on such young adults who were just figuring out life for themselves on their second rental date...
If anything, the catalyst for a change shall be Nagomi's death.
What a bitch, she was the one who pressured Kazuya into finding a gf. With the bitch kicking the bucket, Kazuya will be finally be free of the curse and move on. Maybe living forever single, but starcrossed with an also forever single Chizuru. They are connected in a way even if they attempt to settle down with other people, their attempts will be inevitably doomed to fail and inevitably will be drawn to each other, even if there's no carnal relationships.
Even if the "Koi" part may be dead for them, at least the "Ai" part will prevent them from grow up and move with their lives.

>Chizuru finally stepping up to deal with it
She won't, and Reiji ain't stupid to force an OoC situation, knowing not even Kazuya will believe her. He may be a horndog, but isn't stupid. Chizuru's psyche is fucked up.
They are bound to a strange relationship in which only the sense of longing and loss will bring them together, starcrossed as fuck.

Oh for fuck sake. The least Reiji could do is give us a sweet ending.

Maybe an open ending at this point. Possibly make it clear Kazuya attempted to move on with other girls, but every attempt ending in failure, and Chizuru rejecting every boy whilst becoming a mildly successful actress with a fame of being an iron cake. Last panel is them crossing paths, seeing each other, smiling, reintroducing themselves again and call it an end.
Their relationship is actually too fucked up and tainted with insecurities and broken lies for an author elaborating it again, but at least, the mutual "Ai" is gonna be strong enough, and then is up to readers' imagination.

Its actually astounding how easily they played in her hands. They knew from the start that she was trying to sabotage their relationship by exposing their secret, and did nothing to address that beyond just asking nicely "please don't reveal Mami san plz" or even just coming clean because they're too fucking stupid.

Mami is a manipulator and a liar, but Kazuya and Chizuru are fucking stupid for letting it get this far to begin with. They honestly deserve whatever happens to them.
