Because most people on this board are very emotionally immature. They think in binary terms and act only on impulse. For example, you know how some young people may be radically left wing or right wing, but then when they change their positions they swing all the way to the other extreme (e.g. a lot of extreme left wingers were extreme right wingers, and vice versa)? Same thing here. A lot of people who are passionately shitting on this series everyday were the same ones calling it peak fiction back in 2019. These manchildren can't compartmentalize different aspects of a story in their heads, or acknowledge that it's still great despite a poorly executed ending. It's either 10/10 masterpiece or 1/10 dogshit. They don't really think for themselves.

The final issue was divisive, so naturally it encouraged a lot of bait and arguments. Then the ending started getting additional pages that made it worse and worse, and we got more plotholes and contradictions.

That's not a fair view. That can definitely happen, but that's not the case for a majority of people here.

Endings are really important, since it's what a series is building up to. The last few chapters and especially the ending were a hard swerve in many areas. But if the ending is bad, you can at least enjoy what came before it, right? Not so much with the Rumbling arc, because it went back and touched on things with time travel, infecting a lot of the series prior. You can't disentangle it from the mess that is the finale.
