Wtf is going on, it’s been like 20 chapters in a row delayed. I remember when she was the 4chin mascot. Does anyone even fucking read this shit anymore?

I liked it a lot in the old days but I lost interest at some point when it turned from comedy about a relatable loser outcast to nerd grill and her nerdy friends doing nerdy things.

So basically you wanted it to be the same thing over and over again?

Yes, just like my life.

>watashit

No but I wanted it just to end. It can end in a high note, something hopeful, but good things should rather end than turn into different things and go on in my opinion. If it had had some sort of final "arc" that thematised her old problems and combined it with some sort of new trouble, her doubling down on it but eventually getting out of it and making her first step into the right direction, maybe with help of some old or new friend and some let her have get some great final chapter or scenes this would have been a memorable series.
But like most manga it just goes on and on instead until everybody stopped caring and people don't even notice whether it's still ongoing or ending.

No, the earlier chapters where she was making friends, but the perspective and focus was still largely on Tomoko's thoughts were good, like the class BBQ. Now it's just a shitty friend harem.

I think it was still great up until the start of the second term of third year. The study camp was actually a lot better than I thought it was and I felt like it was paced well and made pretty good use of a lot of different characters with some fresh interactions (like Miho and Tomoko, Yuri and the Ucchi Gang, Asuka and Yuri, Kaho and Itou/Komi, etc.) that we never would've gotten otherwise. It also had some significant parts i.e. the beach stuff with Tomoko and Asuka or Yuri actually managing to make friends with other people. That was followed up by the Comiket arc with Nemo which was really good too.

But ever since the second term started it's fallen into a giant rut and I can't tell if they're just stumped for ideas or trying to drag things out for whatever reason. There's been a lot of really bad chapters and the excuse that they were working on the special booklet or tenth anniversary stuff doesn't hold water becuase we're still continuing to get bad or at best underwhelming chapters. There's no significant or interesting interactions anymore; everyone just kind of comes in and says 3 lines that feel like they could be given to any character with minor editing and then fucks off. Moments that feel like they should have impact like the Tomomote Trio hanging out at Yuu's school just come off as limp and uninteresting. The character interactions have become largely static and it no longer feels like you get weird or surprising mixes of characters anymore.

I think the biggest I've felt cheated was that they spent so long setting up this movie thing with it being proposed back during the Comiket arc, doing a two part story about Tomoko's presentation, ideas and other stuff being brought up for like a year or two beforehand (real world time) and after it's accepted... they immediately change the idea completely and foist it onto Akane while having Tomoko (who'd been taking it fairly seriously up to that point) suddenly decide to not take it seriously at all. It's like NT had second thoughts and just want to keep doing these insignificant chapters where nothing happens, the jokes aren't all that funny, none of the character interactions are interesting, whatever.

I can't tell if they've given up, gotten bored, are out of ideas or are just stringing things along trying to get to likely end point (graduation) as slowly as possible because they feel like this will be it once the series ends given that everything else they've done has flopped and been axed and even the tenth anniversary turned out to be a giant pile of nothing as it was just a bonus booklet and a character poll and some low effort key chains or whatever for merch.

Whatever it is, they need to do something to reinvigorate the series and no, dumping the cast or going backwards with Tomoko isn't it. They need to go back to what was working before and get away from what isn't.

Oh and the characters have turned incredibly one dimensional.

>HAHA ASUKA MAKE FUNNY FACE THAT DOESN'T GO WITH PRETTY AND PERFECT IMAGE
>YURI HIT THING
>HAHA NEMO IS PRETENDING SHE IS CGDCT MC
And on and on. It's like as soon as the second term started the writing completely devolved and I really have no idea why.

I disagree. Random supporting cast members interacting usually falls flat for me, because these characters just aren't very interesting on their own. It's how Tomoko interacts with them that makes them interesting. Any time the characters do stuff when she's not around, it becomes apparent that these characters were designed specifically to play off Tomoko and don't stand on their own (Komi-something being the worst offender). I think the reason the Fang arc worked so well is because none of the characters involved really interact with Tomoko in any meaningful way (aside from that brief period where they tried to make Emoji2 part of Tomoko's friend group, before abandoning the idea).

Is this the Watamote whining thread again?
>Noooo she likes girls and has friends now

This.

Really wish the cast was still the Kyoto trip + nemo. Amazing how both Mako and Yoshida are almost banished from the manga.

This. It's the point where I also lost interest. It reached that narrative time loop so many long running manga are suffering from and I read enough of them to have no hope that it will ever get better again.
If it would I would notice at some point thanks to Any Forums I think, if no threads are made I assume it just ended with a long decline till the series was ended before the last reader leaves.

What the FUCK???? Is this real? I was looking forward to this week's chapter.

I don't care for Mako.

The manga is boring as shit now not matter what yuritrannies say.

Niko are dragging it because it is the only sucessful comic they ever made.

The end of the BBQ chapter when the Kyoto trip group is waiting at the train station and then yuri asks them to stay a little longer was really something.

*really cute

Thats the issue. Niko never bothered to give her some character devlopment.

>Yuritrannies
Really showing how you just hate it because it's yuri

Manga went to shit when she started having friends. Now its like a bad teenage awkward comedy manga. The only plus side is the delinquent is hot as hell

No, it's mostly the author misunderstanding why the supporting cast work. A good comparison is GTO. The author of that series understood that Onizuka was the thing that was carrying the manga and was careful never to let the kids overshadow him (outside of very rare spotlight chapters). The kids were plain and one-dimensional, but they worked because they existed to give Onizuka characters to interact with and to react to his antics. Current Watamote is usually the exact opposite. The friends ARE the focus with Tomoko only hanging around to make quips. That's a big reason chapters like Tomoko having to make the class presentation are the ones people really liked, because they shifted the focus back to her and moved the supporting cast back to being a compliment to Tomoko's story instead of Tomoko being an onlooker in theirs.

tomoko is smart and all but i don't remember when was the last time she had a train of irrational thoughts
people have those when interacting with others and sometimes they cant hide it so well

>Kyoto Trip + Nemo
Nah, Yoshida and Mako are pretty shit characters. The ideal was early on in third year where Tomoko had her core of Yuri, Nemo, Asuka, Akane and Shizuku while having Yoshida's friends as an alternate group she could relax with. Usually it'd rotate between these groups i.e. you'd get chapters with the main group, then you'd get a Shizuku chapter or two, then a delinquents chapter or two, then back to the main group.

But now every chapter feels like it's trying to cram in as many characters as possible which has the effect of severely limiting how Tomoko can interact with them or how they can interact with one another which leads to everything just being meaningless. Also they've started shoving Ucchi into every chapter and making her Tomoko's friend which cramps space up even more despite the fact her interactions with Tomoko are still just KUROKI. GROSS. levels and she's still just as much of a shallow, one note character as she's always been. The last chapter was especially bad and literally felt like they were just repurposing UcchiMoko fan comics in an official context because of how horrifically forced and OOC on Ucchi's part the whole thing felt.

Fr it's not that bad, it still is great, while DOGSHIT like niggatoro, or that gyaru blonde bitch show is praised by Any Forums you dudes are unreasonably shitting on watamote just because the story isn't the same after 200+ chapters, move the fuck on if you don't like it anymore.

Nagatoro also went to shit after the author progressed the main relationship too fast and didn't really know what else to do with the series.

I don't know why you say that when people have clearly explained that isn't their problem with it.
Perhaps it is easier for you to deal with the strawman of your own imagining instead.
