Non japanese works that you would like to see an anime of. It's basically shonenshit anyway.

WOAAHHHH IS THAT THE EPIC GREEK STRONG DUDES WOOWWWWWWWWW SO F*CKING AWESOME AND BASED !1111!!1!1
I mean, considering there is a Bible manga. Sure why not.
Give me a Steve Lichman anime. Make it a short, I don't care.
And no the film adaptation doesn't count
I know we've beaten it to death. I don't care.
I hate these kind of threads because it always devolves into "my favourite book pls be impressed" instead of an actual work that can fittingly be adapted into anime form.
>It's basically shonenshit anyway.
If the Illiad were be published nowadays, it would be called a deconstruction. It has all the common tropes of vengeful gods, epic fights and unavoidable destiny, but in the end it says that the true path to self realization and redemption was inside you all along.
sauce?
it's always the most basic shit that the OP hasn't even read
Also this thread is off-topic MOOODS clean it up
Anything can be adapted into anime for. Animation is the most versatile type of media.
>Shounenshit

>MOOODS

>Anime based on a western story/property

A carpet?
>japanese video game based off a japanese video game series

Quran. The moving mountain arc was my favorite.
No, i can guarantee my left nutsack this thread will contain at least one of:
>generic af when turned into an anime
>just actual history shit that literally no one cares
>characters don't move the entire time and basically just essay-ing without any allegories etc that would make a good anime
You've never read the Iliad, or the Odyssey for that matter. The Odyssey can be adapted to a certain extent, but the Iliad is unadaptable for the japs. The values and themes expressed within it are too alien for them.
Catcher in the Rye
Phoebe would be cute
House of Leaves, preferably by SHAFT
What concept? Adventure? Going back home? Eating lotus?
DUNC
fanny hill
?
this is a good thread Surely it wont die
If they adopted it in the same style as monster it'd be 11/10
>instead of an actual work that can fittingly be adapted into anime form.
The Iliad is quite literally tailor made for anime. It is something that only animation could convincingly pull off. There's a reason no live action film has tried to do the scene where Achilles fights against the river Scamander, or the part where Diomedes almost takes Troy himself by scaling the walls before the gods have to intervene against him.
