Why did they suddenly decide to adapt shonenshit anyway?

they have been living off typemoon/tales of, for as long as i remember, did the tax thing hit them that hard that they had to turn to sueisha for scraps?, will we have more jump adaptations in the future?

Money

>haha

>what if ufotable adapted dragon ball super haha

Going from adapting eroge to adapting shounenshit isn't a hard thing to do.
The target demographic remains the same and so does the effort required to milk the retards.

>did the tax thing hit them that hard
yes a whopping $265k aka nothing.

The aniplex guy wanted them for Kimetsu and he payed them a lot to accept. He said it in an interview

some articles mentioned that Nasu (fan of kny) is the one introduced and convinced them to adapt it

It's an animation studio, that's a lot of money, retard.

ufotable's shiny postcard style doesn't suit DB at all. It works for KNY because KNY is sissy and aesthetic as fuck.

>that's a lot of money, retard
to studios not named ufotable maybe.

Aniplex producer is a fan of KnY. He was the one who approached Shueisha and Ufo. He has been working with Ufo for a long time so the process went smoothly.

>he payed them a lot to accept
he didn't say this in an interview tho.

So now we're pretending typemoon isn't basically shonenshit?

Bros...from mature thought-provoking animes like Kara No Kyoukai to dirty shounenshit...anime is dying!

So you can seethe like the little bitch you are

>Aniplex 45%, Shueisha 45%, and ufotable 10%.

Just like Fate franchise, UFO get shafted hard. Even Toho, movie theaters made more money from the movie than UFO.

they have been living off fight sakuga and still are

>10% of a fuck ton
so it's still a lot, got it.

They're good at action shit which battle shonen have lots of.

You do know that Aniplex and Shueisha are the one that pay for most of the production cost right? They literally payed Ufo to make the movie or do you think Ufo made the movie on their own and Aniplex just swoop in and take all of the money?

Suddenly? What do you think Fate is if not shonenshit?

Take a random under-the-radar shonen manga with rough art and a passable story, and give it such an excellent adaptation that it becomes one of the most talked about series in recent memory. It had to be intentional. I can definitely see the novelty.

the producer saw the potential. the rank was really good despite no anime. the toc ranking was better than shit with anime (mah, haikyuu, bc)
