"Sonny", a common slang term used in 1950s America to call a young boy. In 1950s Japan, "sonny boys" was a loan word in Japanese, which connoted smart and presentable young men.

How do you guys' cope with the show's ending? I swear it's almost a week now and it still hurts like hell, I can't stop thinking about it. Doesn't help that sonny boy rhapsody is so fucking good that I keep it on repeat several times a day, reminding me about that beautiful, amazing scene. Most of the soundtrack just feels so damn melancholic.

Shit.
Shake hand.
Bang.

I got nothing to cope with. I never shipped those two, and they were the only ones not content to find enlightenment or death so they got to go back to the world of finites like they wanted

Nagara is way too much of a pushover to end up with anyone.

I pretend I never watched it and I don't listen to the soundtrack anymore

Is this not common knowledge for literally everyone?

Sonny Boy got me into Math Rock
breddy gud

Still can't watch anime after watching this. It was just too good bros, I can't go back to trash anime.

Bump for pseudo-NTR endings

>every episode is just a still shot Iyashikei of a forest with wind and animal sound effects to boot
would watch.

The ending was graciously optimistic, and I'll defend that point on every sonny boy thread until the end.

Don't blame ya, would kill for an OVA of some sort. Even the parts that bugged me, were necessary for making it the unique experience it was/is

That ending is a positive one albeit a little mundane in its presentation compared to the rest of the show. there was no fantastical spark in regular life nor the simplicity of a single law governing the This World. Regular life is just the same as it has always been, disorienting, powerless to steer and is far cry from drifting where you have all the time in the world and feel significant until everyone leaves.
