I just wanted a proper Negima anime, my dumb ass defended Ken for so many years. Even my views of Negima have changed a bit over the years, I still stand by everything from the beginning to the Mahora Festival being some of the most underrated manga I've ever read, Magical World halfway through is such a mess( a better mess than all of UQ Holder) At the end of the day, no one cared about Negima. Negima also was new during the early 2000s, almost every anime adaptation was ass. Imagine Attack On Titan having an anime original ending, people would laugh at you.
I didn't even pick it up till 2015, Negima's ending hurt me badly to the point where I avoided UQ Holder like the plague.

UQ Holder timeline has her first love being Touta thanks to retarded time shenanigans and later rebounding on Nagi and then his son Negi because "similarities" or whatever bullshit.
The Negima timeline without Touta (he doesn't exist) has her being in love with Nagi and little or no romantic interest in Negi (depends on how you read it I guess). She gets married to Nagi in the true Negima ending shown in 138-141.
user, you've got to let go. The various failed Negima anime and UQ Holder's "quality" has shown us how little to no hope there is for any possible adaptations being made at all. Didn't one of the editors who created the whole system for magic dip out? I've heard her departure spelled for the worse after the Rakan fight.

When you think about it... he shits on all characters but maybe Touta? Eva was reduced to becoming Touta's trophy wife, the whole cast of Negima was put through the grinder, and the Numbers were either terribly underused and wasted (Nikitis, Santa, Septm) or reduced to shameful punching bags (Karin). It's actually stunning, you don't feel there's any sincere like from the author towards any of the characters anymore. Since late Mundus Magicus it feels like Ken just goes through the motions of what he thinks fans want from shounen manga but just not getting it.

Negima wasn't a smash hit, but it was a moderate success, UQ Holder was not even talked about in any large capacity on YouTube or any other social media.
UQ Holder turned into a poor man's Boruto(that's how low I'm going, shit is lower than shit, I can't believe it) we went from functional pactio cards to nonsensical immortality powers and DBZ explosions. Chisame Hasegawa had no fighting ability, yet she was the reason Chachamaru failed to ignite the world magical tree during the school festival.

Keitaro is his actual self-insert, I'm sure I raed a quote on the subject from him at some point. I guess Touta is what he would have liked to be, a happy go lucky can do athletic natural chad who just can stream through worries and stomp problems on the basis of a prestigious pedigree and gaining respect everywhere. As he grows older he somehow makes his heroes less and less fallible (Negi finishes his manga Gary Stu compared to how he started it) and more like pure wish fulffillment (you could say there's wish fulfillment in Keitaro but even so he never fully stopped being the butt of the joke).
