Anime has become like videogames where cooperations just push the newest shiny piece of garbage to the gullible masses who have no sense of aesthetics or artistic quality.

We will never have another Akira, we wil never have another RedLine or logh, anime is dead

>Akira, logh, redline
why do people who complain about the death of anime have the most entry level normalfag taste out there

>where cooperations just push the newest shiny piece of garbage to the gullible masses who have no sense of aesthetics or artistic quality
And you say this while listing Akira as one of the good ones despite it being a trash adaptation that has nothing but the "shininess" of the animation quality going for it. Same with Redline, though that's an original. And LoGH has mostly trash animation and art. Not to mention all of these at this point being the same anime that "the masses" consume and put up on a pedestal.

>just push the newest shiny piece of garbage
This is about KnY isn't it?

Let me give you a different perspective then user. Even the most trashy OVA from the 80s or 90s was still more imaginative and fun to watch than the average series is today. It isn't that anime used to always be great, it often was simplistic garbage using typical fantasy tropes, but there was soul in many of those productions.

There is no such thing as soul. What you're experiencing is nostalgia along with the knowledge that these anime are ones you're "supposed" to like and so you are able to ignore all of the flaws.

Akira is peak cel animation, Redline is peak digital animation. Logh is peka anime.
I can namedrop gozeson-sama takarajima, or Birth but I don't want to

I don't even like anime, but even I am not so pretentious as to make such blatant generalizations while citing the most popular shit like OP did, either watch more anime or shut the fuck up.
>Logh is peka anime
kill yourself

Very convenient cope user. If an old guy thinks this way it is due to nostalgia, and if a young guy thinks this way it is only due to mass brainwashing by the internet telling him so. You got everyone covered in a nice little package there.

>Akira
Great animation, terrible adaptation. Not a good example of anything other than animation quality.
>Redline
Actually fits what you're complaining about, in that it was shiny and new when it came out but has little else going for it.
>LoGH
Great adaptation, terrible animation. It's also currently getting re-adapted, so I don't know why you bothered mentioning it alongside the other two.

>I don't even like anime
current anime I meant

It's a pretty good way to explain why you're complaining about something while bringing up older anime that represent the very thing you're complaining about.

Redline flopped though, it was too good for the masses

Didn't read, there are multiple good anime airing this season. You are just a boring person with boring taste.

>new bad old good
this has been the line of thought of pseuds throughout all of human history, you're not saying anything profound
you're hard to take seriously because you're making sweeping statements about ALL of anime, there are plenty of shit shows before the 2000s, and plenty of good ones after the 2000s, stop talking like a pretentious redditor.

You are an idiot. Did you just watch some vsauce video where Plato said books are bad?

Stay there

I guess I should remind you that oLd AnImE you like was made to promote toys for kids, idol groups, and sell TV ad slots. It's not even an exaggeration, that's where the money came from.

What would you consider a good non entry level anime?

>But LOOK at all these good shows, fucking pseuds!
Nobody says good shows don't exist retard. Maybe you need to pay attention to what people are actually saying instead of strawmanning. Compare the trash to today to the trash of pre-digital anime and then you may see a clear difference in the lowest common denominator, which is what anime largely caters to. But even then, you are very committed to seeing everything in history as one amorphous blob of nothingness that endlessly repeats itself so maybe not.

don't care I only read manga and watch originals

"New" anime has Violet Evergarden and Kaguya-hime no Monogatari.
Get fucked nigger.

>Monogatari
Kek.

>there are plenty of shit shows before the 2000s, and plenty of good ones after the 2000s
For example?

legend of the galactic heroes is fucking terrible. it has the execution and finesse of a brick. the most stale flavorless adaptation out there.

Dumb fucking nigger, get f.u.c.k.e.d..

>Shit before
Bubblegum Crisis
>Good after
Haibane Renmei

If you don't like anime why tf are you here?

Meant for
