Why are they so bad at writing endings?

None of the manga I’ve read have had bad endings. I avoid teenage edge stories like SnK and whatnot.

Name 3

They are a bad ending

What? Tensei Slime ending was 5/5.

A good ending means cleaning up all the plotholes.
And nip writers are notorious for making stories full of asspulls and plotholes.
So they just fuck it and don't even try to tie up these loose ends with competent or realistic writing.

Game of Thrones

Lack of real human interaction

They get paid to continue the story, not to end it.

but Magu-chan ending is great

They get it right every once in a while

Try reading anything other than battleshonen or highschool dramas.

Because you only read weekly series

If they were bad writing only the endings you would be right. Every work follows a generic formula, it is extremely rare to see any manga with an interesting and original plot. Curious, they have so much support material and the ending is exactly where the authors must get it right and still fail.

Because muh original premise is overrated anyway, it all depends on the execution.

>it is extremely rare to see any manga with an interesting and original plot
That's because you don't actually read manga.

1. Autism
2. Lack of real life experience
3. Derivative story telling

Because of the episodic format.
Shit ending is also kinda common in tv series for the same reason.

Any Forums only talks about manga with bad endings, and most of those are shonenshit. There was like one thread for the end of Ajin and it didn't even hit bump limit iirc. Nobody made a thread for the final volume release of City either, which also had a good ending, though part of that might be because there's a currently running dump.

FMA
Tokyo Ghoul
Parasyte

Their cultural standards are different so they judge endings differently.
But mostly you're reading serialised works that continue indefinitely until they're suddenly cancelled, which is a recipe for a shit ending.

Fma final arc is the biggest disappointment I've ever experienced

>filtered by the greatest ending in shonen
Sad.
