Yeah, that always got me desu. He should have been a lot older. My great grandmother made it well over 100 and only gave into senility in the last few years of her life. You'd think that magic, especially the really powerful healing magic they have would help mitigate the problems with growing older, if not eradicate them completely. At the very least he should have made it to 90.
I can imagine the stresses placed on the body ding all the crazy shit he did like powering the MK0 and the insane magic power output through his body would effect in the same way and athletes body can come apart early, but his hardest battles were over by the time he was like 25. I don't think that he experienced anything more difficult then he already had after that point so yeah, you'd think he'd make it way further.
Whatever, just a small pet peve. I'm just sad he didn't get to spend more time with his family, and that he went senile in his final years. How heartbreaking would that be to watch your father/husband get old and you don't even get to spend the last few years of his life with him fully there. I understand he didn't really want to live forever but if I was him at some point I would have tried to extend my life, even if just to be there for the final battle.
