That month wait between chapters was always hard, especially if the chapter was a disappointing where nothing much happens.
Now it's been over a year with no end in sight. This is the last image I saved to my rock collection folder, 7 months ago. Has Ichikawa ever indicated why she went on hiatus? I'd like to hope she's using this time to plan out the ending but who knows
