Is it really that bad?
Sebastian Brooks
James Butler
no, it's actually way better than super even if it treats the power levels like a retard
Owen Gutierrez
Better than SHITper.
Thomas Clark
Better than Super but in the words of the nerd, that's saying like the shit I took yesterday was better than the one I took today.
If they gave each planet a gimmick and made each planet an arc GT would have been great.
Colton Bell
No, it's not. Pan is cute and so is Kid Goku!
Lincoln Gomez
At least it has 90s charm, the charm of cel animation, better writing than modern shonen writing, better directing than in most modern shonen anime. Therefore it's better than super.
Christopher Adams
Still generally crappy, but more redeeming factors and at least people never pretended GT was some sort of official continuation like they do with Super.
Ryder Perry
>people never pretended GT was some sort of official continuation
Jeremiah Flores
I only liked Gogeta
Justin Peterson
Not canon, don't care.
Asher Morgan
It's great ideas with shit execution, which is better than Super's shit ideas with mediocre execution.
Adrian Lopez
Power levels were always retarded in dbz. Ironically DB treats them More maturely
Oliver Morales
Got tried something and failed pretty hard but super just gave us the same but worse…but still the same. I’ve actually fallen asleep attempting to rewatch gt
Juan Morris
I unironically enjoyed it more than DBZ and Super.
Benjamin Young
I hate 'stuck as a kid' plots but in spite of that GT was really entertaining. Pacing was great. You kept on organically getting the next big threat out of each previous one without being interrupted by filler.
Matthew Barnes
No
Gavin Smith
Pan is hot. That's the only good thing in GT.
Vegeta couldve gotten the DBalls in 7 episodes, but Goku and Co. like to act like retarded monkeys in every planet, and struggle against weak opponents.
It kinda gets better (Baby just got to Earth), but so far has been pretty stupid and boring (like most of Toriyamas manga, yeah I know its not based on manga or written by Toriyama)
Colton Edwards
GT tried. I think it gets points for that. Meanwhile Super just feels a like a half bake retread of Z. No risk at all.
Nicholas James
LITERALLY Better than Z
People saying its better than Super are cowards. Man up.
Andrew Johnson
Better than super
Jason Phillips
It tried, but it was more hit than miss.
I'll give it this though, SSJ4 was a way more inventive way to unlock a new powerup and had a much better design than Red Ki and Cyan Ki.
Landon Campbell
There are flaws, but it's not bad.
Previously it was called bad because the metric used was the good shit in DBZ.
But now we have another 'sequel' in Super, so since it's no longer the bottom of the totem, it is regarded more objectively. If you can even call Super a legitimate sequel instead of a soft reboot to sell merchandise.
There are a lot of things that can be criticized in GT, it does drop the ball early on, but it's core, that is, how it handles the characters, is done quite well.
They are consistent. For example, Vegeta. He maintains his development and conclusion of character arc. He's clearly still Vegeta, but a matured one that has come to peace with himself.
GT may be quirky, but it is clear that who made it respected the characters.
How Super handles characters is a disgrace in comparison.
Ryder Hughes
I can confidently say its ending is better than Z.
Jace Cox
GT is MAESTRO
