Because this manga doesn’t have characters anymore. It has shells that dump exposition le go through the motions to get to the next scene. There’s nothing left in them aside from call backs or gags from their past. No personality, no real personal goals or motivations, even the relationships are barely there. It’s like Horikoshi thinks just putting them on screen standing next to each other and saying a couple lines is the same as having actual characters with arcs that progress in the story.
