I noticed that I barely have any images, gifs or webms of people hugging in anime. Hugging as a sign of affection in anime and manga seems to be largely overshadowed by headpads. Which is a shame because hugging is cute.

I do not have any saved, but your best bet would be Ghibli movies. There's one of these big hugs in pretty much every single one.

I have often felt, while watching anime, that the Japanese culture seems to be a bit reluctant towards hugs.
There were plenty of scenes where as a westerner I would have expected to see a hug, only to be disappointed.
I guess headpats feel less uncomfortable to them (especially since it's usually the moeblobs receiving them, not the characters you identify with)
