What's ef?
An anime.
if only you could lose your memories or something
:^)
A quick google search and by the looks of it, it seems like a generic early 2000s romantic drama, is it any good?
So do I user
its shit but the op is good
>tfw you will never get to experience this scene for the first time ever again.
>WHOA ENGLISH WORDS ON THE SCREEN
>MINAMLIST COLORS
>RANDOM EVERY DAY OBJECTS
I hate Shaft
is this that anime with penguins ?
No. Are you thinking of Penguindrum?
tfw classic Shaft is dead
It's called lacking taste.
no matter how much plenty of you retards on this site might think, being reductionist doesn't make you clever or witty and just makes you look like a shit-flinging monkey.
>a generic
This is the best and still unsurpassed romantic drama.
I agree somewhat with that, although I'm not as familiar with the genre it certainly was more interesting to me than Clannad or similar shows.
What are some other romantic dramas out there even?
shaft was really superior to kyoani
It doesn't even fit half the works they adapt (for example Soremachi and ef)
They just spread their style to everything they make regardless of the aesthetics of the subject work
Or maybe they were both good in their own right and shouldn't be compared for the sake of pointless arguments?
I prefer creative adaptations to stale ones. If I want to read the SoreMachi manga I read the manga, the anime to me was very good in its own right and the style fits perfectly into what Shaft wanted to do with it.
Just because they try to do things differently on a visual level and are more creative than your favorite paint by numbers anime doesn't mean you need to get all fussy about it.
kyoani vs shaft is like the academics vs impressionist or the symbolists. it made the former look like a bunch of kitsch painters.
