If she had black hair like in that first visual, her design would be actually good.

>write a boy
>draw a girl
Has Vlad Love figured out the romcom MC problem?

What are you guys on about? She looks super cute. It works really well in the show itself as well.

She is cute but also forgettable. Hair color should have been black or dark brown.

Wouldn't that make her look more default?
I feel like the gray makes her look even more anemic and dead, which is part of the goal.
I also don't think anything from vlad love is forgettable. I don't think I will ever forget airplane facts.

what a waste in general.

>The dream episode were they referenced all the authors
That went completely above my head

I imagine that's the case for most people since it was all just classical Japanese literature and film references

Who cares, Mai is cute.

Taking in consideration the ending, I think Oshii genderbent the MC as a jab to the harem romcom lead. The joke was that the male lead is basically an eunuch

did the vampire ever even suck blood from her?

By transfusion but Mai prefers men's blood

Remember when Vlad Love was going to save yuri?

Whoever said that was getting quite ahead of themselves.

wait till they get a high quality adaption like kase-san did

It did.

Bamba has a great character design.

It was one massive reference to Yoshiharu Tsuge's manga.

Here's a decent compilation of some of his work, but nowhere near all of it.

He was a really big name in the 60s and 70s alt-manga sphere. One of the most influential.
Note, that some of these translations are from the old days where quality wasn't always the best.
