Introduce a character early on

>introduce a character early on
>give him an interesting personality and mysterious, powerful stand
>make it clear his motives go against the protagonists and he does everything in his power to stop them
>has his own backstory, explanation for his goals, and does ruthless things to get his way for a majority of the story
>have him die in the last few chapters in the lamest possible way as you make the main villain someone else
literally what the fuck did araki mean by this?

It's a deconstruction, you wouldn't get it.

Don't forget
>give him the best chapter of the part, revealing his stand has final boss-tier potential
>never have him do anything again

I remember how depressing the last year of JoJolion was to follow on here. No one could even muster the strength to shitpost, it was like watching a slow motion car crash. Still in disbelief at how it ended.

Yeah and normalfag bootlickers still treat the ending as a masterpiece. Its obvious that they started reading Jojolion when it finished

I don't understand how any reasoning human can read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Steel Ball Run, and finally pick up Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Jojolion, and think Jobin was destined for anything other than a miserable end.

You'd literally have to be mentally retarded not to understand Araki's writing style by that point.

Jobin was set up from near the start as a direct rival to Josuke. It was completely fair for people to expect more from him. Especially after Vitamin C, when the rock human gang was defeated before Araki pulled another group out of a magic hat.

If you headcanon hard enough, its all a masterpiece.

>Jobin was set up from near the start as a direct rival to Josuke
Hardly.
He was set up as a sad manchild who couldn't get his act together and betrayed his father's values for personal gratification, because his mother taught him the ends justified the means.

I have to agree user. I get why people dislike part 8's ending, but Jobin dying was pretty obvious. There were all sorts of red flags for it too.

>Jobin was set up from near the start as a direct rival to Josuke.
I wouldn't call it a rivalry. It's more that he was meant to be dangerous, which he was.

And one of Jojo's most beloved villains, especially adored by his own creator, is literally a sad manchild

JoJolion, a lot like Diamond, was intended as a smaller scale and more personal story. Jobin fits perfectly for its villain. Tooru would have been great if Araki gave him more time, didn't retcon the rock human biology and WoU wasn't such an unbeatable stand.

I saved this to use for this very thread.

He meant that he can't write and plan out a story for shit

>He was set up as a sad manchild who couldn't get his act together and betrayed his father's values for personal gratification, because his mother taught him the ends justified the means.

and that is what makes him such a unique and interesting villain

Doesn't Speed king have a secret ability no one knows about? Its probably some sort of time travel ability and Jobin will obviously be a major character in Jojolands.

>and think Jobin was destined for anything other than a miserable end.
I think you're misunderstanding what the complaint is, here.

His name is literally Jobin what did you expect?

>Doesn't Speed king have a secret ability no one knows about?

It was the ability to remotely activate heat flow, what killed Ojiro

You write that as if that isn't an intriguing backstory/motivation on top of leaving out some of the most important parts. Jobin is that based, you can't even shitpost him.

>carefree child who knows he's destined to die
>mother sacrifices her future to save him
>realises he can never truly be carefree as long as his family is cursed
>gets involved with the underground crime scene to evolve his family's business
>all to find a cure for his son and rid the family of their curse forever
>based stand that functions very interestingly
Also
>not a direct rival to Josuke despite having the same goal that only one of them can achieve
>whoever fails loses their loved one

This just makes me more pissed off than I was before.

>Doesn't Speed king have a secret ability no one knows about?
I think there was a little mistranslation/misinterpretation here. I think they said "no one knows the true nature of his stand" meaning they weren't sure how it works. The Ojiro chapter kind of resolved this showing that it doesn't just heat objects up, it stops objects from losing heat naturally until they either destroy themselves or transfer that heat to something else via contact.

MC? Isekaid crossdresser

Plot? the what?

Araki Hirohiko everybody

Jojolion is a story inspired by the calamity of the 2011 earthquake. Jojo and Jobin are rivals chasing the rokoku amidst the endless calamities, each just trying to keep their head above the water. Jobin and Kaato both die from the calamities but ultimately succeed in using the rokaka to save Jobin's son, one final equivalent exchange.

>Loses to Josuke at his own childish beetle game
>Too much of a pussy to actually confront him directly, has to hire a human chicken nugget
>Makes the world's most retarded decision by collaborating with the Rock Humans again as if that didn't nearly get his family killed before
>Only manages to benefit from said retarded decision because Josuke does most of the legwork for him
>Jobs to Ojiro, a mook-ass villain with a shitty stand, on his own turf, has to have his 9 year old son outsmart him
>Attacks his dad because he confronted his dumbfuck schemes
Jobin, throughout the entire story, is shown to be a naive, conceited manchild who's grandiose plans for the future of his family fuck that very family over again and again and again.
>final boss-tier potential
Like what? Throwing a fucking heated up rock at Josuke? Speed King gets obliterated by Soft & Wet 10 times out of 10, it's not even a competition
>whoever fails loses their loved one
But they fucking don't? The Locacaca plant can produce more than one fruit no problem. Jobin was being a greedy dumbass because of his schizo-tier darwinist views. Hell, remember pic related? The fucking guy doesn't even practice what he preaches. Stop coping, Jobinfags. He's an interesting and tragic character, sure, but he never had the chops to be the main villain.
