Nothing, what happend is at first Hori wanted him to be a complete piece of shit who was supposed to be an antagonist for the protagonist to surpass so his initial characterization was just a bully who abused his power against a weakling because he thought he was entitled to it but then hori somehow developed a boner for bakugo and the character became the series cash cow so he course corrected and tried to add depth to his characterization by pretending he was "scared" of deku's "heroic spirit" which is of course complete fucking nonsense but since bnhafans are all low IQ women it doesn't matter

I think proto deku had potential. But similar to mirio's case, aspects of their personality got transplanted into amajiki and hado. I'm still kinda scratching my head why he changed proto deku, oochaka, and Proto bakugo, only to bring them back in again as the big three. Idk if OH arc was worth that Ultimately since the entire thing is removabpe from the story and it'd have little effect. So why did we spend so much time on it anyways?
