How about an all-black remake of REAL classic films. I for one would love to see a remake of pic related with a banging Hip-Hop and r&b update to all the songs.

I think that for the most part, the only Jews who would be annoyed by a Fiddler on the Roof remake starring black people would be relatively conservative and/or Orthodox Jews who have little power in Hollywood anyway.
Plus you're making a false comparison. Fiddler on the Roof is a political movie so the right comparison wouldn't be putting blacks into Little Mermaid or whatever the fuck, but more like making an American Revolution movie where George Washington is black. And to my knowledge, not even the most woke of woke people have ever tried to do anything like that.

The plot wouldn’t work without Judaism. Really, “all black” remakes can work, like the Wiz, but usually they update the setting (instead of Kansas it’s Harlem). Fiddler could maybe work as a similar story in the south but it would be lacking without the jewish aspects that the story hinges on. The main problem is inserting random blacks into places they wouldn’t be, like a mostly white European kingdom, or a fantasy world like Middle Earth where the region is clearly Europe.
