people just parrot this because the star wars OT the middle one was best. Fellowship of the Ring cannot be topped, the other movies lack the sense of adventure and the cast being all split up isn't as fun. TTT and ROTK have bigger battles but they feel too self-indulgent, what we got in Moria was better than Helm's Deep or Gondor

I liked fellowship more

>DUDE TALKING TREES
weak. shit is mid fr

Based and patrician take.
>muh comfy shire
Grow up.
>muh pellinor fields
Ghosts deus ex bullshit ruin it. Everything about it is inferior to helms deep. Helms deep even makes it clear that gandalf just gathered the rohirrim, he didn't cast a magic spell to summon a fucking never heard of before ghost army in the 3rd act.
>muh wormtounge wouldve never been put in charge
Look at Chicago
>muh gollum turning frodo against sam
KYS

The issue I have with Fellowship is the pacing, because almost all of the movie follows only one plotline due to the characters being concentrated together, it feels a bit slow
Whereas TTT and ROTK don't feel like they stick on one thing for too long

The helmsdeep battle is the best battle but Fellowship is the better film overall.

fpbp

I only watch this one as well. I don't care about the lore (not a peasant), it's just one of my favourite movies.

retard take. the fellowship is the best and not even close

Correct OP
For me it's
>watch opening with Gandalf
>skip frodo Sam gollum (fsg)
>watch aragon gimli and Legolas
>watch marry and pippin
>skip more fsg
> watch more of the people that are interesting
>watch sauruman
>theoden returns kino.wav
>skip more fsg
>wargs
>ents
>skip a little more
>helms deep kino.mp3
>end
Winds up bringing it in at around an 1 hour 45 or so and is pretty solid

the fellowship of the ring is more iconic but the two towers is more entertaining

No, Fellowship is still the best.

FPBP

>skip frodo Sam gollum (fsg)
Stopped reading there.

>he likes frodo an Sam parts
Oh yeah quality stuff. I love hearing
>Sam it's so heavy Sam
For the 80th time. Sorry not interested

This one sags the middle of the trilogy. Watching Rohan people do Rohan shit is the most boring aspect of middle earth, and this film has probably the most reworking of of the three to make a dramatic three act Hollywood film. As a result a bunch of nothingburgers are entertained like Faramir being tempted, Aragorn maybe dying, a possible romance with Eyowyn, Frodo and Sam figuring ending up in the same state they were as the last film. The imagery is also the blandest all around, mainly due to being set in Rohan which is just endless tussock fields.

Fellowship is far and away the best. It's probably in my top 25 movies, ever.
TT is just okay and the worst of the 3. And the extended version is overly bloated.

>Frodo and Sam figuring ending up in the same state they were as the last film.
You have no one to blame but Jackson on this one
In the book Sam fights Shelob by the end of two towers

>muh fellowship
>muh Hobbits
>muh agent Smith with pointy eare
So gay. Fellowship fags need to grow a pair
Theoden awakening from the spell he's under and drawing his sword is the best moment in the entire trilogy

TTT and ROTK are both good films but Fellowship mogs them. It depends the least on CGI and bombastic action, it is the most grounded and does not have a single "oh come on seriously?" moment like Legolas riding elephants, the battles in Fellowship show characters fighting for their lives (and losing) in battle instead of going 1v200 slayers like later on, it doesn't have constant POV switching, visually it's obvious far more thought was put into frames to make them look exactly like concept art, the Urukhai are still demonic monsters instead of being Brits, Fellowship's extended scenes are mostly good instead of being 50-50 (TTT) or mostly shit (ROTK), its changes from the books are mostly for the better, and it's not bursting at the seams. It's more dignified and methodical, less bursting at the seams.

Found the orc that got molested after getting btfo'd from helms deep

Nah fellowship is the best easily.

>We must seek the counsel of my trusted friend SAURONSMAN

>Surely he will help us in the fight against SAURON

>its changes from the books are mostly for the better
Imagine thinking it was ok to take the barrow downs and tom bomadil out

agree, i hate all of the frodo sam and gollum shit in two towers, not as bad in return of the king but it really bogs down two towers. most of the stuff with the ents is also very boring imo

Gollum is a FAGGOT
