Gandalf vs Balrog

Realistically speaking how long did this fight go on for?

Probably a few days

imagine how much of a hard cunt you would need to be to fight a 10 meter tall demon for days.

Read the book and find out

It was more like weeks to months. They fall to the bottom of a giant mountain and Gandalf says he then chases the Balrog through a ridiculous amount of passages deeper and deeper and there's crazy nameless monsters down there. Then after a really long time they eventually wind up back near the bottom of Moria and encounter The Endless Stair, which is a spiral staircase that goes up miles and miles to the top of the mountain.

who built all these shits

>the Endless Stair
>goes to the top of the mountain
>where it ends

You constantly shit on tolkien for naming things exactly as they are Any Forums, for once he does the opposite and you complain anyway?

user I think you confused having fun with shitting on Tolkien

>we could've gotten a 2-3 episode mini-series of Gandalf vs Balrog
>we got this woke RoP piece of shit instead

Reminder that the balrog was able to fit through the door into balins tomb.
Is poetic language really that difficult to understand?

the dwarves

Did the Balrog speak abyssal or infernal ?

Dipshit zoomie. The endless part is down, not up. Their intent was to delve as far as they could, never ending...
Fucking autism leaves people with no souls. The Well of Souls has truly run dry.

they are maiars, they can change their shape at will, origibally tolkien envisioned the balrogs as being only double size of an elf and being hundreds of them but later he said there coudnt be more than 3 or 7 at any given time, so they would be bigger.
I dont get why tolkien had to retcon them, he couldve just said that some were bigger and others weaker, I think every balrog should be of different shape and size

Why is the bridge so fucking narrow and without any ledges? People used to live there, wouldn't be easier for trade and overall lifestyle to make it wider? Who's the fucking lunatic that designed it?

They're much smaller than they're depicted in the movies, same goes for trolls and mumakil.

the orcs melted the railways to make their armors

where you there?

What is some other stuff that he retconned?
>Gollum scene in the Hobbit

>they are maiars, they can change their shape at will
IIRC because they set themselves in allegiance with Melkor in the earliest period, during the song of creation and because of their already corrupted spirit they manifested in the world of Arda with bodies of fire and shadow and without the ability to shapeshift like the rest of the Ainur.

Realistically speaking how come they didn’t use the eagles to just fly over the bridge?
