Would Any Forums freak if this was made today? A black second in command challenging the white captains orders. The movie itself is absolute kino by the way.

Carbon copy of K19 The Widowmaker. Sadly we left the submarine kino era a long time ago
I will watch this subkino. Thanks user.
No, because
1. afaik there was no race swapping a character from a previous work
2. denzel didn't once mention his skin color or try to go for oppression points
The Wolfs Call is a recent one, it isnt that great tho.
I've never seen the average tv poster getting upset at any portrayal of black people in films before maybe 2010. obviously there are some outliers who just despise all blacks no matter the context, but most people on here are generally fine with black people in film as long as the writing is good or at least enjoyable. the biggest problem with diversity in modern film is the dogshit writing that almost always thinks it's far more clever than it is. this is exacerbated by how annoying every cunt on twitter is and how easy it is for directors, writers and stars to shoot their mouths off about current issues they have no real understanding of. i have no problem with there being black people in the new lord of the rings or game of thrones for example, but I hate the morons in charge of those products and for that reason I want to see them fail. the fact that the black characters are so lazily written and their backgrounds so poorly justified is just a symptom of the cause(nepotistic talentless jews making garbage products for increasingly uneducated and unintelligent audiences).
anyways thanks for the movie OP, I'll give it a watch some time this week.
If it was made today the entire story would revolve around race shit. When it was made it was just about an asshole captain and Denzel was cast because he was a good popular actor. There would also need to be some netting womyn character of made today.
It's nothing like K19 apart from the fact that it's set on a submarine
There's no raceswapping and it feels organic. So, no, people wouldn't get mad.
it was a poor man's hunt for red october
100% the people on here would complain about
> A black second in command challenging the white captains orders
There is no doubt in my mind about that.
Red October is the superior movie but Crimson Tide is a fine film. The only problem with it is that the radio guy is portrayed as an actual retard.
Do they have internet in submarins? Like for the crew.
What a kino machine. I should have joined the navy 12 years ago and got on one of these.

>we will never have suhbmarine kino with only practical effects again
why even live
No because it isn't some excuse for a hack leftist writer to push his shitty politics. They both portray characters that act like real people would.
Denzel Washington was pretty much whitest black actor in Hollywood. He refused to act in anything that wasn't quality drama until like 2005 when suddenly started to mostly brutally violent action movies starting with Man On Fire. I think has gone bit kangz'n'shieeeeet IRL, but it doesn't show at all in his work and he is solid actor. Tony Scott was kino director.
Hopefully Top Gun marks the beginning of Simpson/Bruckheimer sequels. Crimson Tide 2, The Rock 2, Con Air: Cameron Poe
Nope on general level, but they can receive e-mails whenever come to depth where they can hook up to satellite communications. Crews now have tablets with lots of movies, e-books and shit pass time.
No, because it was Denzil Washington.
i would freak if they had quentin tarantino rewrite the script to add a bunch of capeshit references again
Yes because if it was made today Denzel would give some speech about oppression or racism or some other woke nonsense that’s irrelevant to the plot
>carbon copy
>one from 1995 is about american nuclear sub loosing contact with command while engaged in combat
>the other from 2002 is about vatniks not being able to properly build and maintain subs
>carbon copy
